For Halloween we had so much fun collaborating with local Mary Kay rep Victoria Scofield for a special photoshoot. We decided to do three different looks ranging from slightly theatrical to creepy special effects. Each look was painstakingly crafted by our makeup artist, hand drawn and colored with face charts.

Our first look is the Pixelated Girl look, modeled by Rachel Urbanowski. Half of her face was done to mimic a pixelated computer screen and the other half a standard beauty makeup. This look really showcases the range of foundation shades that Mary Kay offers.
Mary Kay products used in this look:
Every shade from the Timewise Foundation line in varying finishes Timewise Mattewear Foundation in Ivory 1 Concealer in Ivory 1 Foundation Primer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Eye primer Ripe Watermelon Cheek Duo (Highlighter used) Strawberry Cream Mineral Cheek Color Mineral Eye Color in Precious Pink, Lavender Fog, and Sweet Plum True Dimensions Lipstick in Firecracker and Sassy Fuchsia Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick in Midnight Red

Our next look, our Fairy was modeled by Jasmine Dorfschmidt. This look features ear prosthetics created by hand by our makeup artist (yours truly). It also features hand made eyelashes with pieces hand painted with eyeshadow and eyeliner. Rainbow contouring is another feature.

Mary Kay products used: Liquid Matte-Wear Foundation in Ivory 4 Mineral Cheek Duo in Ripe Watermelon Mineral Eye Color in Lime, Emerald, Azure, Coal, Iris and Truffle Eye Primer Face Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Concealer in Ivory 1 Pink Passion Creme Lipstick (mixed with Lime Crime Great Pink Planet and Airborne Unicorn).

Lastly, our dead mermaid look modeled by Victoria Scofield. Poor Victoria had to stand outside in her bathing suit top in cold, late afternoon October weather. This look features a gory special effects look inspired by my love of horror movies. It follows the story of a mermaid that washed up on shore and died due to polution and littering. The wounds are hand crafted by yours truly out of gelatin and liquid latex. Shells and pieces of faux sea glass (made from sugar glass) stick our from her face. Wounds are plentiful including one inflicted by a hook caught in her face. The hook was donated by local fisherman (and my uncle) Corey Price. Thanks!
